About this portal

Terms & conditions

The conditions for using this informational portal.

Version 13 · Effective 14 October 2026 · Independent informational portal

Read the scope, responsibilities and rights that apply.

01Scope and documents

These terms describe the permitted use of NRIdisha, including its articles, tools, downloadable material, account features and newsletters. Read them with the Disclaimer, Privacy policy and Cookie Policy. “We”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator of this independent informational project; “you” means the person using it. No statement here represents that every provision is enforceable in every country. If you do not wish to use the portal on this basis, stop using it. Optional storage and newsletter consent remain separate choices.

02Information, not a professional service

The portal is free and informational. It does not offer individual advice, legal representation, filing services, transactions, investment management, product recommendations or an emergency response. No advisory or professional relationship arises through access, an account, a calculation or correspondence. You must independently verify the information and obtain appropriate advice before acting or deciding not to act on matters affecting your finances, rights, health or obligations.

03Automated AI systems & limitation of liability

Ask NRIdisha is an experimental automated tool that retrieves and summarises published website material and can run approved calculators. It provides general educational and navigational assistance only, not personalised legal, tax, immigration, financial, investment or banking advice. Its summaries are not an official determination, a professional opinion or a promise of an outcome.

04AI errors and independent verification

AI outputs may misinterpret source material, omit exceptions, blend unrelated provisions or repeat outdated information. Tax and FEMA residence, treaty conditions and other cross-border rules depend on the applicable period, location and individual circumstances, including physical days of presence. Check every material statement, rate, timeline and eligibility condition against current official sources and obtain advice from an appropriately qualified professional before making transfers, property decisions or tax filings. Do not rely on the assistant as the sole basis for acting or postponing action.

05No professional-client relationship through AI

Using Ask NRIdisha, submitting a question or contact form, reading a guide or receiving an automated response does not establish an attorney-client, chartered accountant-client, financial adviser-client, fiduciary or other professional-client relationship. The assistant cannot accept instructions for representation, approve a transaction or make an individual compliance determination.

06AI liability limits and protected rights

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NRIdisha and its owners, operators and contributors exclude liability for losses arising from reliance on AI errors, omissions, outdated information or unavailable service, including lawfully excludable tax shortfalls, interest or penalties, banking delays, property transaction losses and lost investment returns. This clause is subject to the protected rights below. It does not override court decisions or mandatory law, waive non-excludable claims, excuse misleading statements or guarantee immunity from responsibility.

07Unlawful misuse and third-party claims

You must not use the assistant for unlawful activity, tax evasion, litigation strategy, interference with safeguards or infringement of another person’s rights. To the extent permitted by applicable law, you are responsible for third-party claims and reasonable losses caused by your unlawful use or infringement. This provision does not shift responsibility for the portal’s own unlawful conduct or restrict non-waivable rights.

08AI acknowledgement and stopping use

Before submitting an AI question, acknowledge the information notice and verification requirement. If you do not accept the terms applicable to the assistant, do not submit AI queries; the published guides remain available. The assistant may be suspended while sources are updated or safety issues investigated. Your applicable consumer and privacy rights remain protected.

09Your responsibilities

Enter only figures and information you are entitled to use. Check the accuracy of your inputs, the calculator’s scope, current rules and your circumstances. Keep your own official records, acknowledgements, deadlines and backups. A saved checklist is not evidence of a filing, approval or compliance. Do not treat the absence of a warning, source or search result as confirmation that no rule or risk applies.

10Accounts and newsletter choices

An account and newsletter signup are optional and do not increase the authority of the content or create a service commitment. Use an email address and username you are entitled to use, protect your sign-in and do not impersonate anyone. The hosting platform handles authentication; never send passwords or one-time codes to the owner. Newsletter requests require separate consent and, when delivery is available, email confirmation. Delivery is currently not active; joining the launch list does not mean a newsletter has been sent or a delivery date promised.

11Acceptable use

Do not use the portal for unlawful activity, harassment, impersonation, fraud or infringement of another person’s rights. Do not introduce malicious code, evade access controls, attempt to obtain other users’ records, interfere with operation or make excessive automated requests. Do not submit confidential case files, identity documents, bank credentials or another person’s sensitive information through fields intended for general questions or planning figures.

12Ownership and permitted reuse

You may read the material, share links and keep downloaded preparation material for your own lawful informational use. Retain relevant dates, limitations and attributions. Do not republish substantial content commercially, imply our endorsement or remove source or copyright notices without the necessary permission. Photographs, government documents, trademarks, software and other third-party material retain their own rights and licence conditions. A link or download does not transfer ownership or grant rights beyond the applicable licence.

13External services and advisers

External links help you find relevant information and services. We do not control or warrant third-party content, products, security, availability or professional conduct. You are responsible for checking a provider’s identity, qualifications, authority, conflicts, fees and suitability. Any engagement, payment, filing or dispute with a third party is between you and that party. The portal is not a party to it.

14Availability and changes

Content and features may be corrected, updated, limited, suspended or withdrawn. Access may be restricted to protect users or the service or to address misuse, subject to applicable law. We do not promise uninterrupted access, a particular update frequency, error-free calculations, delivery of an alert or retention of browser-based progress. Important decisions and deadlines require your own independent systems and records.

15Warranties and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the portal is provided as available, without a warranty that information is complete, current, accurate, fit for your purpose or suitable for an individual decision. The Disclaimer’s responsibility and liability provisions apply to use of the portal and its content. They do not remove obligations imposed by law, turn inaccurate statements into accurate ones, or excuse conduct that cannot lawfully be excluded.

16Non-excludable rights and disputes

Nothing in these terms or notices excludes, restricts or waives any liability, remedy, duty or statutory right that applicable law does not permit to be excluded, restricted or waived. In particular, these provisions do not purport to excuse fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or other conduct for which liability cannot lawfully be limited. No exclusive court, governing-law selection, compulsory arbitration or contractual claim deadline is imposed by these terms. Applicable law and any mandatory jurisdiction rules continue to determine the rights and obligations of the parties.

17Changes to these terms

The version and effective date identify this text. Material changes will be shown in the policy pages and, where appropriate, brought to account holders’ attention. A policy change does not retrospectively remove accrued rights or create consent for a new optional use of personal information. Recheck the current version when using the portal.
