01Who this notice covers
This notice describes the NRIdisha public website. It covers the app’s own features, not the independent privacy practices of linked authorities, banks, publishers or the hosting provider. Rohit Manchanda operates the portal and handles app-related privacy questions at support@nridisha.com. No claim of universal compliance with every country’s privacy law is made. Applicable rights and legal duties remain in force.
02Browsing, search and country selection
You can browse guidance and use calculators without joining the newsletter. Search words, country selections and some filters appear in the page address and may remain in browser history or shared links. Do not put personal details in search. The globe uses locally hosted geographic data and does not request your device location. Editorial images are hosted with the site, so viewing them does not contact an image-generation or stock-photo service. External links open separate services.
03AI answers
When you use Ask NRIdisha, your question, a structured summary of your broader goal, quoted facts you provided, provisional assumptions, open questions, the latest exchange and relevant calculator inputs may be sent through our server to OpenAI alongside relevant public guide excerpts or calculator field descriptions. Direct calculator form submissions and example buttons use our calculator code without a model call; interpreting a written request can use AI before executing the approved calculator. Never enter real account, passport, Aadhaar or PAN numbers, names, identity documents, medical information, passwords, one-time codes or exact financial holdings. Use rounded illustrative amounts. The server blocks recognisable identifiers before a model request. Pattern checks cannot reliably detect every name, identifier or sensitive detail; do not assume that all personally identifiable information has been stripped or anonymised. We do not save free-form question transcripts or model response text in the app database. We retain response status, published source identifiers and automated wording-risk flags for up to 30 days, without visitor, session or IP identifiers. A random 5% of the previous UTC week’s response metadata is selected once on the first subsequent AI request or owner review. The owner can mark records reviewed. This metadata review does not reproduce or certify individual conversations; human review and any corrections remain separate actions. Personalised conversations and answers are not stored in a shared answer cache. We request that the API response is not stored for later retrieval. OpenAI and the hosting provider may still retain technical or security data under their own terms, and processing may occur outside your country. Conversation context stays in page memory and is cleared by Start a new conversation, reload or navigation. The structured context and calculator inputs are carried in a signed (not encrypted), session-bound token, expiring after one hour of inactivity or 40 turns; they are not stored in the shared answer cache or app database. Opening the full calculator transfers these inputs to the existing calculator draft in this tab; optional device-saving preferences in that calculator still apply. When AI answers are enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile checks the browser before a model request. A signed, secure session cookie lasts up to 24 hours. Keyed visitor identifiers and character/request counts support a 15-minute abuse window; session-level budget reservations and usage totals are retained for up to seven days. Expired records are removed on subsequent service activity. We do not store raw IP addresses in these application tables; infrastructure providers may keep their own security logs. AI answers may be inaccurate or incomplete; verify supporting guides and official sources before acting. Conventional guide search remains available without requesting an AI answer.
04Calculator and preparation inputs
Calculator figures stay in memory while you browse within the current tab and are discarded when you reload or close it unless you explicitly choose device saving inside that calculator after enabling preparation storage. Saved inputs expire 30 days after the last edit, are removed when preparation consent is withdrawn, and must be recalculated after reloading. Results are not saved to device storage. A result summary or input file is downloaded only when you request it. Travel dates, remittance amounts and unsaved preparation choices remain in browser memory for the current visit. Standalone calculators do not send these inputs to an application server, bank or AI service. Asking AI to interpret a scenario sends the relevant inputs as described in AI answers above. PDF briefs and result documents are generated locally in your browser; they are not uploaded for conversion. Importing a supported calculator JSON file reads it locally; it is not uploaded. Do not enter account numbers, identity documents, medical records, passwords or one-time codes.
05Optional storage on your device
If you allow preparation preferences, browser local storage remembers your selected India location, saved guide context, checklist ticks and workflow progress. It remains until you erase it, withdraw consent, clear site data or the browser clears it. Other people using the same browser profile may see it. This is not a cloud backup or cross-device sync service. A necessary local record remembers your privacy choice for up to 180 days. Rejecting optional storage still permits browsing and in-session preparation.
06Newsletter information
When you submit the signup form, we store your email address, a selection covering all portal topics, the request time, subscription status and consent version. No portal profile is created. Earlier signup records may include optional country, India state and topic choices. These records support email confirmation, unsubscribe and delivery administration. They are not sold or used to provide individual advice.
07Retired profiles and feedback
Portal profiles, community voting and private feedback are no longer offered. Existing records have not been automatically erased by removing those pages. They may remain in the private database until the owner removes them. Email support@nridisha.com to request access or deletion; no new votes or feedback submissions are accepted.
08Crisis-plan checkboxes
Crisis-plan ticks stay in page memory and are discarded when you leave or reload that page. No household names, medical records, passport copies or crisis-contact details are collected by this feature. Printed copies remain under your control.
09Delivery status and recipients
Email delivery is currently not active. A launch-list request remains pending until the required confirmation process is available and completed; pending records do not receive a newsletter. When a delivery provider is connected, it will receive the information necessary to send the requested message. The site owner can access subscriber requests and consent records. Hosting and infrastructure providers process data needed to run the site. We may also disclose information where required by applicable law. We do not represent that all infrastructure processing occurs in India.
10Hosting and technical data
The hosting platform controls secure site access and may process IP addresses, browser details, sign-in information, security cookies and operational logs under its own terms. App database storage and access controls are provided through the site infrastructure. We do not control the hosting provider’s independent log retention or every aspect of its processing. With your separate analytics consent, Google Analytics measures page visits, reading, search-result and calculator actions using cookies and technical information such as browser and device details. Google processes this information under its own privacy terms, potentially outside your country. We do not send entered financial figures, names, email addresses or search text to Analytics. Advertising signals and advertising personalisation are disabled. See policies.google.com/privacy for Google’s privacy policy.
11Retention, unsubscribe and deletion
Browser data follows the device-storage periods above. Newsletter and profile records remain until removed by you or the owner, subject to applicable legal requirements and the records needed to respect an unsubscribe choice. Unsubscribing stops future delivery when delivery is active; it does not necessarily erase the suppression record. The owner can remove a newsletter request and its app consent history. Contact the owner to request deletion of any earlier profile, vote or feedback records. This does not automatically erase hosting logs, browser history, downloads or copies previously exported by the owner. The owner must handle those exported copies and any applicable deletion duties separately.
12Your choices and requests
Use Cookie settings to change optional storage. Use the unsubscribe link in a confirmation or newsletter email to stop delivery. Until delivery is connected, contact the owner to withdraw a pending request. Use the export and erase controls below for device data. You may request access, correction, deletion or other applicable rights by emailing support@nridisha.com. Identity may need proportionate verification before a record is disclosed or changed. The rights available, lawful exceptions and response requirements depend on applicable law; nothing here removes them. Do not send excessive identity material with an initial request.
13Security and your own copies
Access controls reduce risk but cannot guarantee that a website, device, communication or downloaded file is always secure. Protect your device and sign-in, especially on a shared computer. Downloaded briefs, calculator files and CSVs may contain your entered figures and remain under your control. Clearing app data does not erase them or your browser history. Avoid storing sensitive personal data in free-text fields.
14Children and sensitive information
The portal is designed for adults managing their own responsibilities. It does not intentionally request children’s account records, identity documents, financial credentials or medical case files. General educational content may discuss children or parents without requiring their personal details. If such information has been submitted inappropriately, contact the owner so the issue can be assessed and unnecessary data removed where applicable.
15AI-generated images and non-affiliation
All editorial images and illustrative pictures on NRIdisha are AI-generated and used for illustration only. They are not photographs of actual individuals or depictions of specific properties, premises, facilities or locations. They do not imply any affiliation with, endorsement by, or sponsorship from any person, organisation or place. Any resemblance to real people, properties or locations is coincidental.
16Changes and contact
The effective date identifies this notice. New optional uses of information require appropriate disclosure and, where required, a fresh choice. Contact Rohit Manchanda at support@nridisha.com for privacy questions; urgent incidents should also be reported directly to the relevant bank, authority or service.
Erasing device data removes this app’s saved country, location, calculator inputs, checklists and progress. Account records, downloads and browser history are separate.
