01Cookies and local storage are different
Cookies are small records a browser can send with requests to a site. Local storage keeps records in that browser for an application to read. This portal uses local storage for the privacy choice and, if you agree, preparation preferences. The hosting platform may separately use necessary cookies for authentication, access and security. “Cookie settings” is used as a convenient label for these browser-storage choices.
02Necessary privacy-choice record
The app stores whether optional preparation storage and analytics are accepted, the consent version and the choice date in local browser storage. This necessary record lasts up to 180 days and lets the app respect your choice. Clearing it causes the privacy-choice prompt to appear again. It is not an advertising identifier.
03Optional storage for your preparation
With your permission, local storage remembers the selected India state, saved guide context, document-checklist ticks and workflow progress. It persists until cleared, consent is withdrawn or the browser removes it. Rejecting optional storage leaves browsing, search, calculators and in-session preparation available. Withdrawing permission removes these optional app records from that browser.
04Hosting access and security
Owner sign-in and access controls are managed by the hosting platform. Its necessary cookies, technical logs and retention are governed by its own processing arrangements. The app’s optional-preference switch does not promise to remove every cookie used by the hosting platform or by other websites. Your browser settings provide additional controls, but blocking necessary access cookies can prevent sign-in.
05Tracking and external services
Google Analytics loads only after you accept the separate analytics option. Its _ga cookies distinguish browsers and sessions, with a configured lifetime of up to 180 days, refreshed during use. Withdrawing analytics consent stops measurement and removes these first-party analytics cookies from this browser; it does not erase information already processed by Google. No advertising or social-media pixels are added. The globe, form previews and topic photographs are served with the portal rather than embedded from an external service. Calculator inputs are not saved through this preference switch alone: each calculator has a separate 30-day device-saving choice. Following an external link takes you to a separate service with its own cookies and privacy terms.
06Manage or withdraw your choice
Open Cookie settings below to accept or reject preparation storage and analytics separately. You can also remove site storage using your browser’s controls. Choices apply to this browser profile and may need to be made again on another device. Clearing storage does not delete downloaded files, browser history, account records or newsletter records held separately on the server.
07Newsletter consent is separate
Accepting optional storage does not subscribe you to email, approve data sales or agree to individual advice. Newsletter signup requires a separate request and consent. Use the unsubscribe link in an email or contact the owner to withdraw a pending request. Newsletter delivery is not active yet.
08Policy changes and questions
If storage purposes change, this policy and the relevant choice mechanism must be updated. The Privacy policy explains the broader data flows, current contact arrangements and applicable rights. No statement here excludes any non-waivable privacy or consumer protection.
