Tamil Nadu e-Sevai: certificates, applications and tracking

How to use this source

1. Find the exact service and the office responsible for your location. Check whether it uses the citizen portal, an authorised centre or a separate department website.
2. Sign in or ask the centre to find or create the applicant’s Citizen Access Number (CAN), where required. Check the applicant details before continuing.
3. Complete the service form and upload the evidence requested for your case. The live application determines accepted documents and file formats.
4. Check the displayed charges and save the payment receipt and application acknowledgement. A payment or saved draft is not approval.
5. Track the application using its reference. Respond to requests from the office; download the certificate after it is approved and digitally signed.

Scope and limits. Selected public catalogue coverage. Many source tables and manuals describe older workflows. Confirm the service’s current availability, code, charges and accepted documents with the issuing department. A revenue legal-heir certificate is not a court succession certificate; a residence certificate does not determine income-tax residency.

Choose the right document

A blank form collects information. A service manual explains application screens. A payment receipt records a transaction. An issued certificate is the department’s approved output. These are different documents.

CAN identifies an applicant record. Your account login and each application number serve different purposes. Do not create a new applicant record just because you have lost an application receipt.

If you live outside India

Check the selected service’s residence, citizenship, household or scheme conditions. Overseas status does not establish eligibility. This review did not verify blanket foreign-mobile support, fully remote completion or permission for someone else to apply for you.

The citizen landing page offers a family-card CAN registration option for people without Aadhaar or choosing not to provide it. A particular service may still require its own identity evidence.

If an application is returned or rejected

Keep the acknowledgement and the recorded reason. Ask the issuing office or official helpdesk which correction or review route applies before paying for another application. A universal appeal deadline was not verified.

Use the official portal for personal records and payments. NRIdisha does not accept applications or personal supporting documents.

How this catalogue was checked

The requested IT Department page and public e-Sevai service and manual directories were reviewed. Older tables include a 2016 admission entry, inconsistent codes and different fee schedules; those are not treated as current instructions.

The tnesevai.co.in site was reviewed as a discovery directory. Government affiliation was not established. Its WhatsApp, phone and email are not presented here as government support.

All 65 rows on the IT Department page and 230 of 235 rows in the expanded official catalogue were observed. Expanded rows 40 and 107–110 could not be read after repeated timeouts. The dated 2016 admission entry is excluded from the service list. No missing service, current fee, approval deadline or eligibility rule is inferred.
